1. Introduction
Welcome to Roma Intelligence. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Roma Insight and Analytics regarding your access to and use of our platform and analytical services.
By accessing Roma Intelligence, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease all use of our services.
2. Eligibility
To access our research platform, you must be at least 18 years of age and possess the legal authority to enter into binding contracts. Users operating on behalf of a corporate entity represent that they have the specific authorization to bind such entity to these Terms.
3. Account registration
Users must provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
Roma Intelligence reserves the right to suspend any account found to contain fraudulent NIN or identity verification data.
4. Researcher obligations

Researchers must ensure all data collection methodologies comply with local Nigerian data protection laws and international ethical standards.

Researchers are prohibited from requesting highly sensitive personal information that falls outside the pre-approved Roma Intelligence scope.
5. Participant obligations
Participants agree to provide honest, good-faith responses to all survey and research queries. Roma Intelligence utilizes algorithmic verification to ensure data integrity. Deliberate falsification of data may result in permanent exclusion from the platform.
6. Platform fees and payments
Currency Standard
All transactions on the platform are processed in ₦ (Naira). Roma Intelligence charges a standardized platform fee on all research projects, clearly itemized prior to project commencement.
7. Escrow and incentives
Incentives for participants are held in a secure Roma Escrow account. Funds are released only upon successful verification of the research milestones. This ensures both researcher satisfaction and participant compensation security.
8. Intellectual property
Our Content
Roma Intelligence owns all rights, titles, and interest in the platform's proprietary algorithms, UI, and aggregate data visualizations.
Your Data
Researchers retain ownership of their specific survey queries, while participants grant a non-exclusive license for their data to be used within the research scope.
9. Prohibited conduct
- Scraping or extracting data via automated means without explicit API access.
- Attempting to deanonymize participant records.
- Using the platform for political disinformation or state-sponsored influence operations.
10. Limitation of liability
ROMA INTELLIGENCE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.
11. Dispute resolution
Any disputes arising out of these terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through mandatory mediation in Lagos, Nigeria. Should mediation fail, disputes will be settled through binding arbitration under the rules of the Lagos Court of Arbitration.
12. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
13. Governing law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
14. Changes to terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
